Commerce workshops for Vanuatu entrepreneurs

The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce & Industry is hosting a three-day workshop program this month in Port Vila.

Producing Customer Service Champions – 17th February 2022 – 8am-4pm
Learn how to deal with difficult customers and turn them into satisfied customer with our one and only super star facilitator Tahnia Cook. This workshop is targeted at local businesses customer service representatives to create an awareness around the many types of customers both internal and external. The workshop also focuses on making good first impressions as well as how to handle difficult customers. The workshop delivery varies between face-to-face discussions, group discussions and presentation, video scenarios of good vs poor service and individual question and answers in the workbook provided. The workshop is for long term employees as well as being very powerful for newly recruited or transitioned staff to also understand the many different customer types and how to handle and manage each person effectively.

Supervisor Workshop – 22nd February 2023 – 8am-4pm 
This workshop is about empowering supervisors in the workplace to become better leaders, learning to delegate effectively to their team, improve communication and approach with daily tasks through better understanding individual needs and preferences while giving them a toolkit of resources to pull from to support them in their roles. The day is focused on better understanding their role as supervisors and how they can use the information learnt to maximise employee productivity, create a better working environment, and achieve outputs required every time. The workshop is aimed at inspiring and uplifting participants and give them the power to make better decisions and communicate more effectively.

Employment Law – 23rd February 2023 – 8am-12pm
This workshop is great for everyone who employs staff. Facilitator LeeAnn explains simply how the labour work and helps you to know how to manage severance contracts, leave and more. You will be guided on how to locate correct legal information on various employment issues and effectively use the online tools to build an employment contract that has good legal terms.
